Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using any Shadow Puppet game (including Sketcharoo and Dead Signal, collectively the "Apps"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Apps.
2. Eligibility
Our Apps are available to users of all ages, subject to any age restrictions set by the platform (e.g. the Apple App Store). If you are under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.
3. License
Shadow Puppet grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Apps for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Apps
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Apps
- Use the Apps for any unlawful purpose
- Sell, lease, or sublicense access to the Apps
4. User Conduct
When using our Apps, you agree not to:
- Upload or share content that is offensive, abusive, obscene, or illegal
- Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
- Cheat, exploit bugs, or use automation tools to gain unfair advantages
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Interfere with the operation of the Apps or their servers
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these rules.
5. User-Generated Content
Some of our Apps allow you to create and share content (such as drawings in Sketcharoo). You retain ownership of your original content, but by sharing it through the Apps you grant Shadow Puppet a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display that content within the Apps for the purpose of operating the game.
We may remove any content that violates these Terms or is reported by other users.
6. Accounts and Authentication
Some features may require you to sign in via Apple Game Center, Facebook Login, or other authentication methods. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for any activity under your account.
7. In-App Purchases and Advertising
Our Apps may include in-app purchases and advertisements. All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies. Ads are served by third-party ad networks under their own terms.
8. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, game assets, code, and other intellectual property in the Apps are owned by Shadow Puppet or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited licence described in Section 3.
9. Disclaimers
The Apps are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shadow Puppet disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Shadow Puppet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Apps. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or AUD $50, whichever is greater.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Apps at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your licence to use the Apps ceases immediately.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Apps after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
